Described as “an acid trip struck by lightning” and “the rebellious daughter of goth and ska”, Raincity is a Vancouver-based Rage-Funk band fronted by women on saxophone and vocals. The five members of Raincity combine their eclectic influences including Moon Hooch, Amy Winehouse, Queen, and Rage Against the Machine. Their live shows are unique and explosive. They have performed over 350 shows since their inception opening for acts such as Too Many Zooz, Bif Naked, Lucky Chops, Five Alarm Funk on stages such as the Commodore Ballroom and The Bill Reid Amphitheater.

Chase The Bear

2022 has been the most productive year for Chase The Bear by far. After signing to Rock Is Dead Records, they released two singles, “Underwater” and “Five More Minutes” with over 143K YouTube views for the former and over 37K views for the latter. The songs were featured on Spotify editorial playlist “Ready To Rock,” YouTube Music’s “Up To 11”, and Exclaim! Magazine’s Spotify playlist “The Eh! List,” and “Underwater” was featured as a trial goal song for the Vancouver Canucks. In January 2023, Chase The Bear released their debut album, “Honey” and received press through CTV News, Canadian Musician Magazine, Buzz Music USA, The Vancouver Guardian and more. “Hurtin”, the third single from “Honey” received national radio play including Victoria’s The Zone and CBC Vancouver. The release of the album was marked with a short regional tour including sold-out shows in Vancouver and Victoria, with more touring to the East being planned for the future.
