Eschatology and apocalypticism – the study of what is believed to be the final events of history, the ultimate destiny of humanity – or, the “end of the world”.
The 2012 phenomenon consists of a range of cataclysmic or transformational events that will occur on December 21, 2012. This date is regarded to many as the end-date of the Mayan Long Count calendar. Although not accepted by the mainstream, various astronomical alignments and numerological formulae have been pointing to this date.
The Naked DJs invite you to join in celebration of the end of this 5,125-year-long cycle. What better way to bring in this time of change than to dance together and celebrate – the end of the world as we know it!
Taking over The Waverly Hotel for this historical time, The Naked DJs are hosting a dress-up party and musical extravaganza.
The theme: Disaster vs Enlightenment.
